I’m a Research Storage Engineer (one of the many titles for one of the many jobs a sysadmin does) for UW SMPH IIT.

I consult with researchers to determine the best tools, workflows and processes to mange their data lifecycle and I’m a member of the team that supports and manages the HPC compute cluster and Ceph storage system.

Most recently I’ve been a system administrator of High Throughput Computing and Storage systems at UW Madison Biostatistics (in that one, the title was DevOps Engineer – another fancy title for a sysadmin).

I’ve been around a bit and so I’ve done a fair amount of different things in the sysadmin world.

If you’re looking to contact me for work, see my contact page.

When I’m not working, I keep myself entertained with sailing, martial arts, and wandering around taking pictures.
